Renewly — Privacy Policy

🔒Your Data Stays on Your Device

Renewly is built to be privacy-first. All of the information you enter — your records, documents, medicines, warranties, vehicles and reminders — is stored only on your device. There is no account and no cloud sync. We (the developer) never receive, store, or sell your personal records.

        The one exception is advertising: Renewly displays ads through Google
        AdMob, which requires an internet connection and collects limited
        device data as described below. Your personal renewal data is never
        used for or shared with advertising.
      

💾Data Storage

All your records and attachments are stored locally on your device using on-device storage (Hive). You are in full control of your data at all times.

We operate no servers and receive none of your records.
No cloud backup is performed automatically.
Backups you create are saved as local files that only you control.
Uninstalling the app permanently removes all data you stored in it.

📣Advertising (Google AdMob)

Renewly is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob. To show ads, Google and its partners may collect and process certain data on our behalf, including:

Device advertising identifier (Advertising ID) and general device information.
Approximate, IP-based location and coarse region.
Ad interaction data (ads shown, taps) used to serve and measure ads and limit repetition.

This data is collected by Google, not by us, and is governed by Google's own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. You can learn how Google uses data from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

        Your choices: Where required (for example in the EEA,
        UK and Switzerland), Renewly shows a consent prompt before serving
        personalized ads. You can also reset or delete your Advertising ID, and
        opt out of ad personalization, in your device settings
        (Android: Settings → Google → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy → Tracking).
      

🛡️Permissions

Renewly requests only the permissions it needs:

Internet — used only to load ads via Google AdMob. Your records are never sent over the internet.
Advertising ID — used by Google AdMob to serve and measure ads.
Camera (optional) — used only to scan documents you choose to capture for OCR.
Media / Photos (optional) — used only to attach images you explicitly select.
Notifications (optional) — used only to remind you locally before renewals expire.
Biometric (optional) — used only to unlock the app if you enable App Lock.

Renewly does not request access to your precise location, contacts, SMS, microphone, or phone.

📊Analytics

Renewly includes no separate analytics SDKs or third-party trackers beyond the advertising services described above. The app is completely free with unlimited usage and no premium tiers.

👶Children's Privacy

Renewly is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app serves ads through Google AdMob, please do not allow children to use it without supervision. If you believe a child has provided information through the ad services, contact us so it can be addressed.
