This Privacy Policy explains how LoanWise ("we", "our", or "the app")
handles information when you use our mobile application. By using LoanWise,
you agree to the practices described below.
Summary: LoanWise does not require an account or sign-up.
All your loan data is stored locally on your device. We do not
sell your data, and we do not collect your advertising ID.
1. Information You Enter (Stored Locally)
Any loan information you add — including principal, interest rate, tenure,
EMI schedules, prepayments, disbursement details, and any names or notes —
is stored only on your device using a local database (Hive).
This data is not transmitted to our servers, and we cannot access it.
2. Information Collected Automatically
The app uses third-party SDKs that collect limited, non-personal data:
Firebase Crashlytics – crash logs, stack traces, device model,
OS version, and app state at the time of a crash. Used to diagnose and fix bugs.
Firebase Analytics – aggregated, anonymous usage events such as
screen views and feature interactions. Used to improve the app.
We do not collect the Android Advertising ID (AD_ID is explicitly disabled).
Google AdMob – serves ads in the app and may use limited
device identifiers as described in
Google's Partner Policy.
3. How We Use Information
To run the core loan-management features entirely on your device.
To diagnose crashes and improve app stability (Crashlytics).
To understand which features are used (Analytics, in aggregate only).
To display ads that help keep the app free (AdMob).
4. Permissions We Request
Internet – required for Firebase services and ad delivery.
Notifications – to show EMI reminders and due-date alerts on your device.
Schedule Exact Alarm / Wake Lock / Receive Boot Completed –
to ensure scheduled reminders fire reliably and survive device restarts.
Vibrate – for notification feedback.
Storage (via file picker) – only when you choose to export
a PDF/CSV report or back up/restore your data.
All notifications are generated locally on your device. We do not send push notifications
from a server.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing.
The only data leaving your device is the diagnostic/analytics/ads data described in Section 2,
delivered to Google services that power those features.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
Loan data lives on your device. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage
removes all loan data permanently.
Crash and analytics data retained by Google follows Firebase's standard retention policies.
7. Children's Privacy
LoanWise is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect
personal data from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. The "Last updated" date
at the top will reflect any revision. Continued use of the app after changes
constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
