This Privacy Policy explains how KitchenKeep ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use the App. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
1. Data Stored on Your Device
KitchenKeep is an offline-first application. Your shopping lists, pantry inventory, recipes, meal plans, events, budgets and settings are stored locally on your device using on-device databases. We do not upload this content to our servers.
2. Camera & Photos
If you grant camera or photo permissions, the App uses them solely to capture or select images for receipt scanning (offline OCR) and product photos. Image processing happens on your device. Images are not transmitted to us.
3. Notifications
With your permission, the App schedules local reminders (expiry alerts, low-stock alerts, event reminders). These are generated on-device and are not sent through external servers.
4. Analytics & Crash Reporting
KitchenKeep does not use third-party analytics or crash-reporting services. We do not track your usage or collect telemetry about how you use the App.
5. Advertising
The App may display ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers to serve and measure ads. See Google's policy at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
6. Data You Control
- Export: You can export your data as a JSON backup at any time from Settings.
- Delete: You can clear demo data or all data from Settings → Data. Uninstalling the App also removes locally stored data.
7. Children's Privacy
KitchenKeep is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
9. Contact
